A sad incident took place on 25 April 2015 in an Asian country called Nepal. This is known as Nepal earthquake. Then Nepalese citizens had to face a lot of difficulties and this earthquake attracted a lot of attention of people all over the world.

What happened in 2015 in Nepal ?

A powerful earthquake struck between Kathmandu and another city, Pokhara, on the morning of 25 April.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.8, which meant it was very strong. And tremors were felt in nearby countries Pakistan, Bangladesh and India.

Then on May 12 of the same year, a second powerful 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Nepal near Mount Everest, killing more than 100 people and injuring thousands.

Many historical sites in the country of Nepal were seriously damaged, including temples and monuments. About 3000 people died as a result of the earthquake.
